ADAV-Weimar
ADAV-Weimar (Afghan-German Doctors Association) is a registered voluntary association in Germany, founded in 2004. Since then, the organisation provides scientific and practical help with establishing medical facilities and efficient healthcare in Afghanistan. It supports with building small but efficient Special Clinics and practices knowledge transfer by training Afghani doctors and medical staff. This is achieved by sending doctors from Germany and other European countries to Afghanistan, as well as by finding scholarships for Afghani Doctors in hospitals in Afghanistan or other countries. ADAV-Weimar has become an inherent part of the international relations of all medical faculties in Afghanistan. In order to help effectively, the project “Partnership for Medicine” was founded.
Our Mission
ADAV-Weimar solely and directly pursues charitable purposes. These are achieved by the following measures:
Scientific and practical support, with the establishing of medical facilities and efficient healthcare structures in Afghanistan
Development of small effective special clinics in Afghanistan
Knowledge transfer through the training of Afghani doctors and medical staff, provisioning of European doctors as lecturers, and by arranging stipends for Afghani doctors in and outside of Afghanistan
Organisation of partnerships of clinics in Germany and Afghanistan
